"Midnight Blues"

Northern Irish guitar hero Gary Moore passed away tragically on February 6th, 2011 in his sleep. He is acknowledged as one of the finest guitarists that the British Isles has ever produced. The young Gary Moore became interested in blues-rock guitar when he heard icons such as Eric Clapton, Peter Green and, of course, Jimi Hendrix. Perceived as a true virtuoso, Moore spent time in both Skid Row (the original) and Thin Lizzy before embarking on a wonderful solo career. Musicians that have shared the stage with Moore include B.B. King, Albert King, Jack Bruce, and Albert Collins. Musicians that have recognized his brilliance include Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Kirk Hammett, Glenn Hughes, Slash, and Joe Bonamassa. This performance by Joe Bonamassa of Gary Moore's "Midnight Blues" was recorded at the Royal Festival Hall on the 4th June 2011. It is a stunning tribute to a true blues-rock giant.
