Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea III

When: February 6th-10th

Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea celebrates its third annual floating music festival, set to depart Port of Tampa sailing the tropical high seas on the Norwegian Jade to Costa Maya, Mexico. Blues-Rock Titan Joe Bonamassa is set to deliver 2,500 blues fans the musical experience of a lifetime with four full days of non-stop music from major acts such Grammy winning singer Bruce Hornsby with his touring band the Noisemakers, blues-rock guitarist and singer Joanne Shaw Taylor, plus over 15 other wildly talented musical acts. From old favorites to emerging newcomers, with multiple jam sessions and surprise collaborations, to intimate gatherings with musically inclined cruisers, combined with fun and fans from all over the globe are just the ingredients needed for one incredible adventure. Tampa Bay Blues Festival

When: April 7th– 9th 2017

This three day fun-filled blues festival has had some of the biggest names in American blues taking the stage since 1995. Located on the tropical Vinoy Waterfront Park in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, Buddy Guy, Ana Popovic, Tab Benoit, Samantha Fish, The Rides with Stephen Stills and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and ten others are included in the 2017 artist lineup. Grab a beer and some seafood or Cuban cuisine and enjoy some blues by the bay until 10pm each night, VIP packages are also available.


Byron Bay Bluesfest

When: April 13th-17th 2017

The blues goes down under to Australia’s premier contemporary blues & roots music festival April 13th-17th north of Byron Bay at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm. This family friendly world renowned festival hosts over 200 performances, up to seven stages, and 12 hours of music a day! Artists announced this year include Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffett, Jethro Tull, Doobie Brothers, Devon Allman Band, Mary J. Patti Smith, Mud Morganfield and many many more musicians ranging from new blues, old blues, r&b, indie, and reggae-rock. The festival amenities include a food court, beer garden, children’s entertainment, over 100 food and market sellers, and the hu huge grounds perfect for camping. The annual festival first began in 1990 with 6,000 in attendance and now attracts over 100,000 excited music fans from around the world. Past acts have included John Mayer, Paul Simon, James Brown, B.B. King, Robert Plant and Bob Dylan.


Wanee Music Festival

When: April 20th-22nd 2017

If you’re really into the jam band scene, Wanee 2017 is the place to be! The Wanee Music Festival is located at Live Oak, FL at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, on the banks of the historic Suwannee River.  Bring your camping gear, your tie-dyed mandala lawn blankets, and get ready for a groovy time! This year’s lineup includes Gov’t Mule, the Devon Allman Band, Dr. John & the Nite Trippers, Bob Weir, Widespread Panic, Jamoe’s Jasssz and many more stellar musicians over a three day span.  The annual festival first started in 2005 and was hosted by the Allman Brothers Band until their retirement from touring in 2014.


Jazz Fest

When: April 28th– May 7th 2017

The annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is one of the most culturally relevant and diverse music festival’s in the world. The first year the festival was held was 1970 and 47 years later the festival continues to pay homage to the city of New Orleans, which is not only the birthplace of jazz but also has some of the deepest roots of music in America. Jazz fest celebrates its musical heritage with a very assorted lineup honoring all styles. Some of the big names you can expect to see this year are Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Wilco, Sonny Landreth. Buddy Guy, and even more contemporary artists like Pitbull, Elle King, Maroon 5, Kings of Leon, and Dave Matthews. This festival showcases a celebration of music, with 12 stages and over 425,000 music lovers in attendance. This year the festival is giving a special honor to the city’s historical connection to Cuba, throwing the biggest celebration of Cuban culture in America in over 50 years. In addition to the music, you can dive even deeper into the diverse cultures of Louisiana with the festival’s art marketplaces featuring contemporary and traditional food, art, singing, dancing, and shopping from cultures and styles across the world.


Mountain Jam

When: June 16th-18th 2017

Take a chairlift ‘Sky Ride” across the beautiful Catskill Mountains and experience Mountain Jam, the three day rock and roll music festival in Hunter Mountain, NY. This year’s headliners include Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Steve Miller Band. Also included in the 2017 lineup is Peter Frampton, Gary Clark Jr., Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Strumbellas and 8 other amazing acts. This will be the thirteenth annual Mountain Jam Music Festival, located in one of the Northeast’s most pristine natural amphitheaters where you can breathe in the crisp mountain air, play in a world class ski resort, listen to some rock and roll across multi stages, and if you can even take a ride on one of North America’s longest and highest zipline. The festival is even family friendly, with kids entertainment and even free admission for children under ten. Past acts Mountain Jam has hosted include Phil Lesh & Friends, The Allman Brothers Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and in 2010 the festival presented Levon Helm‘s 70th Birthday Jubilee with very special guests Warren Haynes.


Rock Fest Barcelona

When: June 30th-July 2nd 2017

If classic rock and Metal is for you, Rock Fest Barcelona 2017 has an incredible 30 band lineup of hard rocking favorites including Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult, and Aerosmith. Located in Barcelona, Spain at the Can Zam park in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. The annual European festival is relatively new, celebrating only its 4th edition. Rock Fest Barcelona is set to become one of the biggest European festivals, past lineups have included Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Whitesnake Dream Theater, Judas Priest and Slayer.
