LA Les Paul-toting Warren Haynes joined the stage with Modern guitar hero Joe Bonamassa on the first of three nights at New York City’s Beacon Theater last Thursday. Returning to the venue that served as the backdrop for his 2012 live DVD, Bonamassa brought Haynes on stage to join him for a run through the blues standard “Crossroads," the Paul Butterfield Blues Band classic “Look Over Yonders Wall” and; on one of Bonamassa’s iconic songs “If Heartaches Were Nickels" which happens to written by Warren Haynes himself.

Warren Haynes and Joe Bonamassa have known each other for over 20 years. A little known secret, Warren Haynes produced two songs from Bonamassa's first band, Bloodline featuring Berry Oakley Jr., Waylon Krieger and Miles Davis. In addition, these two Guitar heroes have shared the stage many times in the past at Joe's gigs and Gov't Mule shows as well as other appearances. Joe has had a growing friendship with Haynes since the age of 14 years old and continues to enjoy his music and blues mastery. Together, these two Blues Rock disciples are spreading the blues gospel to more and more new Music fans every day, all in hopes to Keep the Blues Alive.
