Joe Bonamassa will turn 37 years young on May 8th and over the past 365 days the Blues Rock Titan has done so much and more! None of the following would have happened without the support of family, friends, band members, crew, and of course the steadfast loyalty of his wonderful fans.
Shortly after celebrating his birthday last year with Robert Johnson (as always), the sophomore album for Joe and Beth Hart was released. The #1 Billboard Blues Album Seesaw was released to widespread acclaim and would earn both Beth and Joe their first Grammy Award nominations! Then Joe released his unprecedented, career-spanning Tour de Force: Live In London concert film series that saw him rock the United Kingdom’s most cherished venues. Rock Candy Funk Party took its supergroup fueled funky jazz to the renowned Iridium Jazz Club, which resulted in the epic Takes New York: Live at the Iridium DVD. Just so far this year Joe has reached new and exciting heights as he attained the title of MOST #1 Blues albums on the Billboard blues chart with the record breaking amount of 12 #'1s. His beloved Live from the Royal Albert Hall, with his life-changing performance with Eric Clapton, also became certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America, another first! As Joe looks forward to the future, which will be filled with extensive world tours and fun collaborations, Joe will be releasing his first studio album since 2012’s celebrated Driving Towards the Daylight, and the fans are going to love it!
The most recent exciting news that Joe has to offer is the announcement of the RED ROCKS tribute concert to Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf this summer, sponsored by Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation and the Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea Cruise which will set sail next February with Joe Bonamassa Headlining the festival while filling the cruise with other amazing Blues Rock artists to make it an experience like no other!
