Lewis Hamilton Meets Joe Bonamassa
F1 Driver & Bonamassa Fan Lewis Hamilton Meets Joe
The youngest McLaren F1 driver Lewis Hamilton is not only a sports fan but a Joe Bonamassa fan. Like Lewis, Joe strived for perfection practicing his guitar at a young age. Lewis knew that he wanted to race for McLaren at 10 years old. He made his debut as a F1 driver for McLaren in 2007 breaking records at an early age. Lewis was named the first black driver for Formula One. Hamilton has soared to great heights in his young professional F1 career. Joe and Lewis have a common bond of executing their dreams at an early age. Joe has admired Lewis’s performance on the track and Lewis is a fan of Joe’s blues rock music. Lewis also owns one of Joe’s signature Les Paul’s. Which brought a smile and feeling of awe when Joe heard this.
This past week Hamilton was in Budapest, Hungary for the FORMULA 1 ENI MAGYAR NAGYDIJ 2010 race. The race was intense but was a bit of a disappointment for Lewis who had to retire after 23 laps due to gearbox issues. Joe Bonamassa who has been a F1 fan for quite sometime, enjoys attending the races when he is off the road. The two had a chance to meet before the race, Lewis was gracious enough to give Joe a closer look at Lewis’s F1 car. As Joe was glad to talk about his current tour and heading to Greece to track his next album.
Overall is was a fun and exciting day for Joe, Lewis, and all the F1 fans in Budapest. Be sure to check out more details about Lewis Hamilton at his site. As well news about Joe’s current tour, album release, news and more at Joe’s official site.
