On November 18, 1993, the popular grunge band Nirvana filmed their MTV Unplugged concert in NYC in one take.
On November 18, 1975, The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, played his first UK show at London’s Hammersmith Odeon. The setlist features classic material such as “Thunder Road”, “10th-Avenue Freeze Out”, and “Born to Run.”

Bob Dylan began to record his first album in New York on November 20, 1961. Despite Bob Dylan’s current reputation as a songwriting all-time great, the album only featured two original songs, “Talkin’ New York” and “Song to Woody.”
On November 20, 1970, singer-songwriter Tom Waits played his first paid gig. The performance gets the billing as “Thomas Waits.”
On November 20, 1974, Keith Moon collapses during “The Who” concert at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Someone spikes his drink is with horse tranquilizers. Likewise, Scot Halpin, a fan in the audience, winds up replacing him on drums for the last three songs. At the end of the show, Halpin took a bow with the band.
On November 20, 1976, Paul Simon hosted Saturday Night Live and performed two songs with George Harrison: “Here Comes the Sun,” and “Homeward Bound.” Harrison’s former-fellow Beatles, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, were watching show on television at Lennon’s home in New York City.

Ozzy Osbourne attempted to stop a burglar at his mansion in Buckinghamshire on November 22, 2004. Ozzy put the burglar in a headlock. After breaking free, the intruder jumped out a window with about £2m of jewelry.
A sheet metal worker by the name of Louis Balint punched Elvis Presley at a hotel in Toledo on November 23, 1956. The reason? Balint claims that his wife is so in love with Elvis that it’s ruining his marriage. The police arrest Balint and he receives a fine of $19.60. Next, he can’t pay the fine, he ends up going to jail.
On November 23, 2008, 14 years after starting the album, Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses release their album Chinese Democracy.
The Beatles began recording for the album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band on November 24, 1966. They work on “Strawberry Fields Forever,” which they do not include on the eventual album. Due to the pressure from the label for new music, they release it as a single prior to the release date.
