Joanne's First #1 Blues Album!

British blues woman extraordinaire Joanne Shaw Taylor has landed her first Billboard #1 Blues Album with her appropriately titled The Blues Album. The album, produced by Joe Bonamassa & Josh Smith, was released on Bonamassa’s independently operated label Keeping The Blues Alive Records.
The Blues Album pays tribute to artists and bands that are not obvious choices such as Little Village, Little Milton, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and James Ray, as well as covering seminal blues icons like Albert King, Fleetwood Mac’s Peter Green and Magic Sam. Some of the songs covered are B-sides of singles.

The Blues Album has been everything I hoped it would be. It’s been a labor of love, overseen by an artist, producer, and friend who I trust beyond measure.
