JOE BONAMASSA FOLLOWS IN JOHNNY CASH'S FOOTSTEPS

On January 21 and 22 of 2016, Grammy nominated blues rock singer-guitarist Joe Bonamassa performed two unique, all-acoustic shows at New York City's prestigious Carnegie Hall, following in the footsteps of country, acoustic, rock and pop greats such as Johnny Cash, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Both shows were filmed and recorded, and will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, CD and vinyl, on Friday June 23, in a package entitled Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall - An Acoustic Evening.

Featuring new acoustic arrangements of well-loved Bonamassa songs, as well as new, never-before-heard tracks, the recording is a treasure trove for any blues and acoustic fan. The Carnegie shows featured an ensemble of world-class musicians, including acclaimed Chinese cellist and erhuist Tina Guo, and Egyptian percussionist and composer Hossam Ramzy, who has performed on dozens of soundtracks and albums, including No Quarter: Unledded Tour by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.

Bonamassa's Carnegie Hall live line-up was completed by Reese Wynans (piano), Anton Fig (drums) Eric Bazilian (mandolin, hurdy-gurdy, saxophone, acoustic guitar, vocals), and Australian backing vocalists Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins and Gary Pinto.

When speaking about the all-acoustic shows, Joe Bonamassa said: "Despite being among the most ambitious things I've done - I played with a nine-piece acoustic band - it came out great. It was a typical Joe freak show." The 15-track setlist includes 'This Train', Drive', Dust Bowl', 'Woke Up Dreaming' and (How Can A Poor Man Stand Such Times And Live'.

So why not treat yourself? Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall - An Acoustic Evening can now be pre-ordered now on CD, DVD, Blu-Ray and vinyl.
