It is hard to believe that it’s already been a year since the release of Blues of Desperation. Joe’s 12th studio album and one of his unprecedented 17 #1 Billboard Blues albums was originally released on March 25, 2016. Featuring all-original material, Blues of Desperation reinvented the blues-rock genre with innovative fan favorite songs like the heavy hitting Mountain Climbing, the barreling This Train, the sultry Drive, and the exotic Blues of Desperation title track.
On the direction of the album, Joe said, "I want people to hear my evolution as a blues-rock musician; somebody who isn't resting on accomplishments and who is always pushing forward and thinking about how music can evolve and stay relevant."
The song “You Left Me Nothin’ But the Bill and the Blues” is a fast-paced, party of a blues rocker lamenting the loss of love and the accompanying expenses that never seem to get recouped. Enjoy the video, and may you only be left with the blues!
