On Sunday October 22, Joe Bonamassa is BRINGING THE BLUES BACK TO VEGAS, and joins this one-of-a-kind list of timeless entertainers. Since the legendary Colosseum was constructed in 2003, it has hosted some of the greatest entertainers and celebrities in the world! Top notch singers like, Cher, Bette Midler and Shania Twain all had multi-year headlining performances. Elton John, Rod Stewart, and Celine Dion are the current resident artists at the Colosseum.
Remarkable entertainment has been a staple at Caesars Palace hotel since its inception in the late 1960’s. From boxing title fights and concerts, to death-defying stunts, the iconic hotel has hosted some of the most legendary events in Las Vegas. Crooners such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin were frequent guest artists back in the day. Sinatra began singing at Caesars Palace when it first opened and would perform sometimes two shows a night, seven nights a week. The hotel referred to him as ‘The noblest Roman of them all.’
Every year, artists such as Sting, Diana Ross, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Janet Jackson, Liza Minnelli, Harry Belafonte, and of course, Liberace graced the stage and claimed their legendary place in Vegas history. Other Caesar’s historic events include the Hagler vs. Leonard “The Super Fight” of 1987, as well as Evel Knievel’s daring attempt to jump over Caesar’s iconic fountain!
Caesars Palace is known as “the Home of the Greatest Entertainers in the World,” and now Joe is added to that list. So, just like Hagler shined up his boxing gloves, Knievel checked his tires, Joe is preparing a great show. There is no doubt that Joe will leave it all on the stage that night, and will become part of the legends that rocked Sin City - the one and only, Las Vegas. Joe’s ambitions to play as many iconic venues as possible have taken him all over the world to many outstanding locations. Performing at Caesars Palace is an important part of his career and a great honor for the bluesman.
