Joe is extremely humbled to have been nominated for a 2017 GRAMMY Award in the category of Best Traditional Blues Album for his latest live album Live at the Greek Theatre. This is especially true in light of the mission and accomplishments of The Recording Academy, the institution that awards the GRAMMYs.

The Recording Academy has been celebrating music for over fifty years as the primary institution that honors musical and recording achievements. It celebrates the best in music and also acts as an advocate for the arts and conducts outreach for artists and others.

Joe is honored that such a prestigious institution would recognize him with a nomination for his music. The mission of The Recording Academy is to positively impact the lives of musicians, the music industry, and society at large. Joe also hopes his music, charitable work, and general life as a musician makes a valuable contribution to the lives of his fans and music lovers everywhere.
