This event will feature the writings of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard and more legends embodying country music’s heritage. As Joe says, “I got this, this is exactly in my wheelhouse.”

Joe’s backing band will encompass some of the best in the biz, with Anton Fig, Michael Rhodes, Reese Wynans and a few others guaranteed to make this a special tour. Along with well-known faces, be sure to look out for a few special guests to grace the stage at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on August 9th through 11th, so expect nothing less than a monumental performance!

Nashville is referred to as “The Music City” and is the undisputed country music capital of the world, still producing the most top-notch artists on the scene today. The city also boasts some of the greatest music venues and landmarks in the United States. However, the most iconic spot in Nashville is the Ryman Auditorium.

Built by Hugh Thompson in 1892, the Ryman Auditorium was originally designed as a large Tabernacle set up for the “influential revivalist” Samuel Porter Jones. As of 2001, the structure was designated as a National Historic Landmark for its “pivotal role in popularizing Country Music.” From 1943 to 1974, the venue became well-known for housing the Grand Ole Opry, the long-running country stage performance and radio program.

Over the venue’s 126-year existence, it has hosted several iconic events and concerts and remains a bucket list location for all musicians spanning multiple genres. Notable artists who have graced the Ryman’s stage include: Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, James Brown, John Hiatt, Keb’ Mo’, Ben Harper, Govt’ Mule, John Mayer, Brian Setzer, Joe Bonamassa, and many, many more.

In 2018, the blues-rock titan returns to the Ryman with a few surprises up his sleeve. Joe has honored some of his favorite musicians over the years like B.B. King, Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, and others. Now, he will continue that tradition by saluting the original icons of country music with his own Joe Bonamassa signature style on his “Blues Meets Country” Tour this summer!
