By now, it is no surprise that blues guitar wizard Joe Bonamassa is also a master hunter. But, the game this musician is after is extremely rare and has six strings. Joe has been searching for vintage guitars for most of his life and has dedicated a lot of his free time to these “Guitar Safaris.”

Now, his collection has amounted to over 300 instruments, creating the fabulous Nerdville collection. This year, Joe brings Nerdville on the road to the California World Guitar Show, showcasing just a small fraction of his prized possessions.

While on a shopping spree, longtime friend and avid guitar collector Norm of Norman’s Rare Guitars stops by to visit Joe, who he lists as “the greatest blues guitar player in the world.” The two discuss some of the gorgeous guitars on display, like the highly rare 1958 Flying V “Amos,” as well as Joe’s much anticipated blues cruise which is setting sail at the end of February.
