This summer, Joe Bonamassa returned to one of the most revered musical locations the United States has to offer, the Ryman Auditorium, located in the heart of the “music city,” Nashville, TN. Over the years, the auditorium has been used to host the most premiere artists and shows, including the longstanding country radio program, the Grand Ole Opry. This time, Joe rocked the Ryman for three sold-out nights in a row, bringing a heavy dose of the blues to the “Mother Church of Country Music.”

The famed home of country music was treated to an all-out blues extravaganza with Bonamassa and his all-star band firing on all cylinders the entire show. Bonamassa surprised his ardent fan base with new selections from his highly anticipated upcoming new album, Redemption set to be released in September. Tunes like “Just Cause You Can” and “Self-Inflicted Wounds” demonstrates Joe’s monstrous abilities as a guitarist but also his aptitude for brilliant and expressive songwriting.

With years of painstaking dedication, hours of grueling practice, and persistent fortitude, Joe “has reached an amazing milestone as he has ascended to the very top of the game he most often plies his trade in.” Joe has cultivated a growing and passionate collection of fans who attend sold-out concerts to see the bluesman in the suit and sunglasses with the mind-blowing technical prowess.

In order to create his unique and now iconic sound, Joe has surrounded himself with the best musicians on their particular instruments, all who bring a different element to the mix: Michael Rhodes lends years of session experience within country and pop, Reese Wynans, Hall of Fame pianist known for his work with Stevie Ray Vaughan, all around powerhouse drummer Anton Fig, and a stunning group of backup singers including Mahalia Barnes.
The blues-rock titan continues to dazzle audiences on every stage he commands and with his thirteenth studio album on the horizon, is consistently pushing bounds musically and personally.
