This past weekend, Joe joined Warren Haynes at the 30th Annual Christmas Jam. To offer up his support to the cause by performing on Saturday. Even with an impending snowstorm threatening to cause chaos, this was one performance Joe wasn’t going to miss! While the larger stage was being set up, Joe started off his set on one of the smaller stages by doing a duet with Warren Haynes performing Haynes song "If Heartaches Were Nickels." He then walked to the larger stage to join the band while playing the beginning of Beck’s Bolero which really hyped up the crowd and then continued to play a scorching set that featured not only this track but several fan favorites such as Spanish Boots, SWALABR, I Can't Quit You Baby and How Many More Times. You could tell from the crowd’s response, they were ready to rock with Joe and the band!
The lineup for the first night went from the country of Jamey Johnson to the Avant-groove of Marco Benevento to the freak-improv of Mike Gordon to the classic-rock of Gov’t Mule. It was seven hours of pure musical bliss. Day two brought even more to the table with the likes of Dave Grohl, Eri Church, Gov’t Mule, Jim James and Joe Bonamassa. Other special guests on the second night included Audley Freed, Jen Gunderman, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Jimmy Vivino, Kevn Kinney, Mike Barnes, Robert Kearns, Ron Holloway, Tyler Ramsey and many more.
