Tomorrow night is my 30th anniversary as a professional musician. Nov 8th 1989 “Smokin” Joe Bonamassa pictured here whilst taking about himself suddenly in the third person, with a JB Player Stratocaster copy ( even then I liked things with my name on it. ) made his debut at the Metro in Utica N.Y. I’d like to take a moment and reflect on how lucky I have been to have the people and family around me supporting my every decision over these past 30 years. I have been thinking about this day for a few years. It’s been the most beautiful struggle any blues boy could have ever asked for. Tomorrow night on my anniversary we play the Fox Theater in Detroit. It’s not lost on me how far we have come. I owe this all to the people in these photos( limit of 10 sorry ) my family and most of all to you the fans who put me there every night. Thank you for 30 great years. Let’s see if we can get 20 more before it’s time to bow out gracefully. I love you all and thank you. Joe Bonamassa
