“I would like to thank all of my fans for keeping Redemption number one on the Blues Charts!” – JB

The fans have voted, and they think that “Redemption” is the best album that Joe has ever done! To date, Redemption has been holding steady at the number one spot on the Blues Charts for fifteen weeks! It’s his most poignant and personal album to date that was inspired by a tumultuous period in his life. It’s blues at its finest and no one does it better than Joe Bonamassa.

With Redemption, there is a shift from his previous albums. It has a lot of different musical avenues and emotions at play—something that his fans can embrace and connect with. Joe took the time to hone his songwriting skills, improve his vocal stylings and to come full circle by upping the ante with his high standard of guitar playing. It’s one hell of a cathartic and sublime release! He took a lot of chances and now they’re paying off.

There are at least three stand-out tracks, beginning with the collaboration with native Nashville singer Jamey Johnson on “The Ghost of Macon Jones”. It's a nice change of musical direction on the album, where Johnson’s twang in his vocals really compliment Bonamassa beautifully, and the solos aren’t too shabby either! “King Bee Shakedown” will get your toes tapping and your body swinging with its rockabilly-meets-swing vibe. Lastly, “Just Cos You Can Don’t Mean You Should”, sounds like a shout-out to Joe’s influences like B.B. King and others that helped him along the way in his career.

This album is just a teaser to the “Joe Bonamassa experience”. If you want to see real magic happening, you need to take the time to see this Blues Titan live!
