Photographer Christie Goodwin Reflects on Her Time with Joe Bonamassa:

"The first time I worked with Joe Bonamassa was back in 2009 at the Royal Albert Hall. I had only shot a few times at the Royal Albert Hall, so I wasn’t the real Hall connoisseur yet that I am today. I didn’t know much about Joe either so it was quite a big leap into the unknown. It was also Joe’s first time at the Royal Albert Hall and everyone was very excited, but maybe a little nervous too. Joe nailed his first Royal Albert Hall performance, and who would have guessed that it would be the beginning of a decade long creative collaboration?

"Fast forward to January 2020, remember, back when we had no idea what lay ahead of us. I went and spent a few days with Joe at Abbey Road Studios where he was recording his latest album ‘Royal Tea’. Shooting at Abbey Road can be challenging as you have to really pick your moments. After all, they are recording, they don’t need me distracting them. But I got my moments alright.

"Over the past 11 years I have worked with Joe all over the UK, Nice and Amsterdam, Paris and Antwerp, Florence and Red Rocks, Los Angeles and New York. As I am writing this it's November 2020, and I am dreaming of a bright future where we can do it all again, hopefully soon. But in the meantime, here’s a look back at eleven years of Joe Bonamassa in front of my lens."
