No, we aren’t talking about the classic Roy Orbison rock and roller. “Oh, Pretty Woman” is a blues song through and through. The lyrics are about the frustrations of unrequited love. However, happily for Joe Bonamassa there’s no unrequited love here: the Gibson Explorer he used to play this tune at the Greek Theatre is a classic vintage instrument that, as you will hear, gets along with Joe beautifully. But don’t get jealous, Spot, Snakebite, Mary Kaye, and all the rest of you. Joe thinks you’re all beautiful too. But enough about love. Let’s hear some blues.
