There’s no better time for some of that “Ole Time Religion” than on a Sunday Morning with a piping hot Cup of Joe. Joe Bonamassa’s here to deliver the message from the Church of Blues with the latest Sunday morning cut from his new live DVD / Blu-ray Live at the Greek Theatre. “Ole Time Religion” began as a traditional Gospel song from the 19th century, but has been transformed into an upbeat, swinging Gospel jump-blues tune. It begins with the vocal prowess of Mahalia Barnes, Jade MacRae and Juanita Tippins before the band kicks in full gear and we’re off to the chariot races. Hallelujah for the blues!
