Every athlete, dancer, or musician has that one venue they have always dreamed about playing in. For Joe Bonamassa, “it is one of his lifelong dreams to play Carnegie Hall.” This is the quintessential performance venue for most musicians, and getting this opportunity is no easy feat. In fact, there is even a famous joke regarding this fact: “How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice.” On January 21st and 22nd 2016, Joe performed two unique, all acoustic sets with a sensational 9-piece ensemble. Playing an entire show all acoustic is very revealing and can become very daunting. “Despite being among the most ambitious things I’ve done – I played with a 9 piece acoustic band – It came out great. It was a typical Joe freak show.” -Joe Bonamassa
