Summer is Officially here!
Summer is finally here and despite the recent crazy weather that’s been happening lately, you might think otherwise. But its true summer is here and so are the steamy days. The summer solstice marks the first day of summer, and this year it falls on 6/21/19. In the Northern Hemisphere, summer solstice marks the longest day of the year.
For some of us, we still have to work. But, for others they’re hitting the roads, the beaches and the airports! So, to help you keep your cool, we’ve come up with some great jams to check out! And maybe some traveling tips as well!
So, do you have plans for the summer?
Most of us have seen the Summer Vacation movies and the chaos they go through. Do you really want this? Nope! For me, growing up, my saving grace was my radio and headphones to block everything out. It was my way to finding some solace while riding in the very back of the minivan. It’s what made me the music geek I am today!
Nowadays, the scene has changed a lot for kids. You got computers, phones, ipads, etc. Trust me, you are the lucky ones! As for music, we’ve got you covered! Not only do we have the videos below but we also have a playlist of “Summer Classic Jams.” for you to check out.
Whether it’s about traveling to some exotic place or just hanging out on the beach, we’ve got your back! Most of the music is rock & soul oriented but we’ve added some classic gems as well. So, grab a cold beverage to keep you company and enjoy the tunes!

There wouldn’t be a beach party if we didn’t have the B-52’s on board! If you’re not tapping your feet to their crazy beats, then you need some more party in your life! Their musical style is fun music for fun times!
This track is for all the tequila drinkers out there in the JB Universe! Jimmy Buffett will get you ready for the hot steamy days of summer! I think I need a cheeseburger with all this paradise swimming around me.
Mungo Jerry’s In The Summertime, is just a fun song that makes people want to shuffle and dance around like a fool! If you live in the south, the grocery chain “Publix” uses this track for their commercials at times.
