Joe Bonamassa has fifteen #1 Billboard blues albums under his belt, he’s earned a Grammy nomination, and he’s sold out theatres all around the world. But for Joe, it’s always about the music first. With his latest live shows, this is no exception. Joe will be performing a spectacular can't-be-missed showcase backed by an all-star band of world class musicians. Joe’s been touring since he’s been 12 years old, from intimate clubs to giant sold-out arenas. However, Joe hasn't forgotten his roots and this tour you will see the Blues-Rock Titan paying homage to his early career as he revives the power-trio format for the first segment of his show. This will be followed by an outstanding four-piece band with keyboards, and finally the full powerhouse blues band with horns.

When we say “power trio” we mean it – this engine could power a city for months! This trio is comprised of Joe on guitar, bassist Michael Rhodes, drummer Anton Fig, and they will be playing some of the highlights from the Tour de Force: Live in London – The Borderline show. After this portion of the setlist, Reese Wynans joins the band to add his amazing keyboard prowess and play some fan favorites from Joe’s last studio record. Finally, the full band adds Lee Thornburg on trumpet and Paulie Cerra on sax to rock plenty of your all-time favorite Joe tunes.

What was it that inspired Joe to break out the setlist and the band in such a way? Simply put, Joe said, “This group can play anything.” It isn’t difficult for this band to play in the various combinations, and it hasn’t been hard for them to re-learn the old gems that Joe is reviving for the tour. Yes, it’s true – Joe will be dusting off and busting out some classic Joe favorites with a fresh spin. And from what we hear, the crowd has been diggin’ it. In part, then, this new show is about remembering Joe’s beginnings, while leaving plenty of space for Joe to keep pushing boundaries and moving the music forward.

So there’s a lot of exciting stuff to be looking forward to! What are the extra-special moments of this show, you ask? Well, keep an ear out for “Happier Times”. Also, a few fan favorites may be accompanied by sparkling new arrangements – but we’re not going to spill the beans on which ones. You’ll just have to be there for yourself. So if you haven’t picked up tickets yet, now’s the time! Joe’s finishing out the month with a great block of United Kingdom shows, then taking a swing through the United States in November and early December. We think you’re going to love the show he’s bringing with him on the road!
