While we know that Joe is always on the road, what most fans may not realize is how much time and effort goes into each live performance. Since every venue is usually set up differently, the band, musicians, and all the techs have a brief meeting to discuss the whole set-up. This includes the load-in, the load-out, the set-up and any other details that need to be looked at logistically.

It starts with a road crew, which usually consists of the following: a tour manager, stage manager, lighting technician, front of house engineer, monitor engineer and various instrument technicians.

The crew is pretty tight-knit and basically Joe’s family on the road, which is the reason he tours with seasoned professionals—they know what needs to get done and work together to make it an amazing experience for everyone including the band & technicians. Of course, there’s also the traveling by plane, bus and other in-between!

Finally, once everything is worked out, everyone has some time to themselves to prepare, eat, sleep, converse with each other and get ready for the upcoming performance.

So, as you can see, there is a massive amount of blood, sweat & tears that goes into the touring process. See you at the next show!
